Toddler Turf

A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER, DANA BURRIS

As a mom of three boys I try to find to find as many outlets for them to exude their energy. So, when our neighbors were getting rid of their swing set we were thrilled to recycle it with our growing family. Our toddler used the swings so much that that the grass had been worn away and all we were left with was a dirt pit. Due to the dirt pits my boys were constantly getting their shoes muddy, toes scraped up, and just all around dirty. Plus my husband wasn’t happy about his perfectly manicured lawn being ruined. We tried planting grass but that didn’t work. We purchased rubber swing mats but they were too short, the kids would trip over them, and they started to crack after one Midwest winter. We always wanted to place turf in our yard because of all the amazing benefits but we couldn’t finically afford it. There’s also something special about the smell of fresh cut grass. So my husband and I tried to come up with a solution for our problem and that’s when we came up with Toddler Turf. After placing our turf under the swings our boys were playing mud free, even on dewey mornings, after rain storms, and when the snow melted. It was so effective that we placed it inside our playhouse where grass doesn’t grow, under our sandbox so the kids have an itch free place to sit, and under our water table. Toddler Turf has transformed our play space for the kids no matter the climate.
